In 2019, over 268,000 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in women in the U.S. alone. Progress in treatment and early detection has led to improved survival for people of all ages and races, and with all stages of breast cancer. In fact, there are more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. today.
In October of this year, Cheryl Yeko, one-half of CiCi Cordelia, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Due to the advancement in treatment, a good outcome is expected.
Char Chaffin, the other half of CiCi Cordelia, has not been untouched by this disease, as her beloved daughter-in-law Jeni was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. Her five-year remission anniversary is just around the corner.
We are dedicating these three love stories, by CiCi, Cheryl, and Char, to all the pink lady warriors, supporters, and researchers.
